Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

It's time to eat!
We will be serving our FFA grown
chicken dinner This Friday, January
26th in all 6 schools.  We anticipate
3000 pieces of chicken will be
served throughout the district.
Not only will our home grown
chickens be on our menu, but our
hydroponic lettuce will be as well.
Watch for our story on Channel 19
and Channel 8 news, Friday.

Empty Bowls Event
This year we celebrated 15 years of
holding this annual Holmen High
School event.  The FFA and Art Club
collaborated to provide the community
with an evening of culinary and visual
art.  Over the years hundreds of
community members, students, and
staff have been given the unique
opportunity to make or "throw" bowls
on a pottery wheel.  The bowls are
then sold to raise money for a local
cause.  After purchasing your "Empty
Bowl," you are then given a
complimentary soup dinner provided
by the FFA.  All funds raised during
the evening were donated to "We
Care," a local food pantry.   We raised
$1600 at this year's event!

Serving Lunch For Farm2School

Holmen FFA was serving lunch at Sand Lake
Elementary School on Friday, September 12th. We
served the corn that we grew for the Farm2School
program. The kids were taught about where their
fresh sweet corn came from. We provided the School
District of Holmen with over 3,000 ears of corn for
Thursday and Fridays lunch.

Thank you to the Jessen's and the King's for donating
their land for the sweet corn plots.
